Downtown Scavenger Hunt
Based on the popular “Itty-Bitty City” Scavenger hunt, you will search for up-close images of various details visible throughout downtown Fredericksburg. Find the items and note what they are, as well as their location. You will be in teams of 2-3.
Prizes will be awarded to the winning teams!

Ferry Farm Tour
George Washington was 6 years old in 1738 when his family moved to a farm in Stafford
County, Virginia. The Washingtons called this place the Home Farm but it later became known
as Ferry Farm because people crossed the Rappahannock River on a ferry from the farm to the
town of Fredericksburg. On this self-guided tour, visitors can see the site where the Washington
house stood overlooking the Rappahannock River, walk down the old ferry road, enjoy the
hiking trails, and watch for birds in the Wild Meadow. Tours of the Washington house are
offered every thirty minutes. New archeological finds are found daily.

Rush Hour Escape Room
Don’t just see the movie, BE the movie.
Rush Hour Live Escape Games are committed to providing a fun and friendly atmosphere
where you can enjoy making lasting memories with your friends. A Live Escape Game is an
interactive experience where you and your group pick a room with a themed mission (find the
lost jewel, escape the pirate’s brig, or clear your name of murder.) You’ll be surrounded by
puzzles, clues, and codes that you will solve by working together as a team. Don’t worry, no
one is ever locked in any room, and you will have the help of your own personal Game Master
who will be watching you play and can provide nudges, clues, and hints when you need them.
To add to the fun: costumes are available!

Grief Through the Eyes of Our Children
Jackie Henderson, retired 1st Sgt. USMC and Bereavement Facilitator, volunteers with Friends of Caroline Hospice, and helps train volunteers to facilitate bereavement support groups throughout the Beaufort Co. School system. In this session, Jackie will show parents how to help their children during their grief journey through activities, books, and tips. She will show practical strategies in helping kids recognize their individual support system, how to use acceptable copying strategies, and how to guide exaggerated feelings through art, writing, and discussion, in order to create a lasting memory of their loved one.

Multiples Forum
Come speak to 3-4 sets of twins/multiples (high school and college age) about their experiences growing up as a multiple and discuss issues including the home environment, educational experience, strengths and weaknesses of each, their special bond, socialization issues, and their “warnings” for raising multiples.

During your 75-minute guided tour of old town and the Fredericksburg Battlefield, you will experience the past, present and future of a city so rich in history and teeming with monuments, markers and attractions for all ages, as well as many unique shops and restaurants still operating in buildings hundreds of years old!

Pots and Palettes
Let’s get creative! Choose from one of the items pictured. “Pots and Palettes” will help you with your selection of colors and offer suggestions on techniques for finishing your selection. Pottery is fired in their kiln and ready to ship or for pick-up in 5-7 days.
